Crossmark Policy

In line with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), JAFESS is committed to maintaining the integrity and transparency of the scholarly record by participating in the Crossmark initiative.

Crossmark  is a digital verification tool and a standardized service by Crossref that alerts readers to the current status and version history of a published work. To check the status of a published article, click on the Crossmark logo on the article webpage or PDF.

As a transparency mechanism, when changes are required after an article has been published, the following principles are applied:

  • Corrections: If a significant error is discovered, a formal Correction notice linked to the original article is published.

  • Retractions: In cases of serious flaws or ethical violations, a formal retraction process is applied.

  • Withdrawals: If critical issues arise that require an extreme action as stated in the "Corrections, Alerts, and Retractions Policy".
